askdrpatrick.ro: bookings the doctor approves, across four clinics

A mobile-first presentation site for a periodontist who works in four clinics, with online booking where nothing reaches his calendar until he approves it.

4 clinics in a single calendar

The challenge

Dr. Radu Patriche is a periodontist who works in four clinics: Bucharest, Ploiești, Buzău and Sinaia. A doctor split between four cities has a problem an ordinary booking form does not solve: he cannot let patients grab any free hour on their own, because his schedule changes from day to day and from clinic to clinic. He needed a site that presents him clearly and online booking he stays in control of, without it eating his time.

What we did

We built askdrpatrick.ro, a Romanian-language presentation site designed for the phone first. Booking works on a request and approve model: the patient picks the clinic, the service and the time slot, and the request reaches the doctor by email, on WhatsApp and on an admin page. He approves from wherever suits him. Only his approval writes the appointment into his Google Calendar and sends the patient a confirmation.

Available slots start from a weekly schedule, which the doctor can override for any specific day. Patients can book from 24 hours to 60 days ahead, on a 30-minute grid. A pending request or an approved booking blocks that slot across all four clinics, as do the hours already taken in his calendar, so two requests can never overlap. The whole flow is covered by 424 automated tests.

The result

The site has been live at askdrpatrick.ro since September 2026. Patients only see times the doctor can actually keep, at the clinic they chose, and can send a request from their phone in a few minutes. The doctor decides on every request from one place, wherever he happens to be that day. His calendar stays clean: nothing goes into it without an explicit yes, and the patient is only confirmed at that point, so a confirmation always means a real appointment.
